With strong expertise in industrial sealing systems, SKF develops specialized compounds designed to perform reliably even under extreme operating conditions.

Seals and sealing technology are integral to SKF’s capabilities. Customers benefit from the combined expertise of the world’s leading bearing and seal specialists, drawing on more than a century of shared knowledge to deliver integrated solutions for the most demanding industrial challenges.

HDS7

High-performance heavy-duty seals with a robust metal case, elastomer body, and springless sealing lip, designed for superior grease retention and contamination protection. Available in NBR, HNBR, and XNBR materials.

HDS1 / HDS2 / HDS3

Widely used metal-cased large-diameter seals for general applications, offered with elastomers such as NBR, HNBR, XNBR, and FKM to suit varied operating conditions.

HDSA–E Series

Heavy-duty seals featuring reinforced metal cases and advanced sealing lip designs. HDSA/B/C seals include an auxiliary wedge-shaped lip for enhanced contamination exclusion, while HDSD separates two fluids with opposing lips and HDSE provides maximum exclusion with dual lips facing the same direction.

HMS5 and HMSA10 Radial Shaft Seals

The HMS5 and HMSA10 series are metric rubber outside diameter radial shaft seals designed in accordance with ISO 6194 and DIN 3760, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. Their optimized design delivers excellent sealing performance even under challenging conditions such as high surface roughness, thermal expansion, or split housings. Developed using SKF’s advanced nitrile rubber compound, these seals offer outstanding compatibility with synthetic oils along with superior pumping capability for reliable and long-lasting performance.

WAVE® Seals

WAVE® seals feature a patented low-friction seal lip design suitable for a wide range of applications. The wave-shaped lip efficiently pumps lubricant back into the sealing cavity while preventing the ingress of contaminants, regardless of shaft rotation direction. This unique lip geometry creates a wider contact path on the shaft, helping to dissipate heat, reduce wear, and extend seal service life.

SPEEDI-SLEEVE® is a thin-walled wear sleeve designed to restore worn shafts without requiring a change in seal size. It provides a high-quality, smooth counterface for radial shaft seals and is easily installed by sliding it over the worn shaft area, creating a sealing surface comparable to a new shaft.

SPEEDI-SLEEVE® is available for shaft diameters up to approximately 203 mm. For larger shafts where this option is not available, SKF offers large diameter wear sleeves suitable for shaft sizes up to approximately 1,143 mm, ensuring reliable sealing across a wide range of applications.
